Thank you to everyone who has reached about whether or not to keep doing the daily “memail” (thanks to the subscriber who introduced me to that word!). You were overwhelmingly in favor of keeping things going over here on Substack because you have wisely opted out of social media.

Well, I’m game if you are!

If you happen to still be on Facebook, we had an interesting thread last night on supply chain issues. My local Walmart is out of chicken and bottled water — and it’s been this way for weeks. And it sounds like restaurant owners, who are already besieged by government interference and staffing shortages, are getting hit pretty hard.

There are several reasons for the shortages, but here’s a solution for some of us: be more like grandma.
