Rep. Kat Cammack may be the youngest member of the GOP freshmen class of women, but she certainly doesn’t intend to let that hold her back. In fact, she’s the perfect antidote to media darling AOC, who is a similar age but lacking the life experience that gives Cammack a unique perspective as she takes on the DC establishment.
A staunch social and fiscal conservative, Cammack speaks very movingly — and from a very different angle than most — about pro-life matters. Her mother faced some serious medical issues during her pregnancies and was advised to abort Kat. She refused and has passed on her pro-life legacy to her daughter. Rep. Cammack will be a speaker at this year’s March for Life rally.
Before deciding to run fo office for the first time last year (and beating ten primary opponents), Kat Cammack was a cattle rancher, small business owner, head of a non-profit organization and political staffer. She worked as deputy chief of staff for Rep. Ted Yoho, who’s seat she ran for and won.
Her breadth of experience seems to have served her well, earning her a spot as the freshman class representative to the Republican Study Committee, which provides conservative lawmakers with the tools they need to craft policy solutions. She also got plum committee assignments on the House Agriculture Committee and the House Homeland Security Committee.
Possibly the best part of her first few weeks in DC has to do with the fact that her Congressional office is next door to radical, anti-Israel “Squad” member Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D.-MI).
“Rep. Tlaib, who has an office right next to mine in DC, has some strong opinions about Israel that I disagree with, so I’ve made a pledge to plant Israel’s flag outside my door right next to the American flag. I think it’ll be very helpful as she walks past both every day.”
She’s going to be fun to watch.

Quotes
“The Save Democracy Act will improve security and administration measures to protect the integrity of our electoral system. The 2020 presidential election revealed glaring weaknesses that must be addressed and this bill will take the necessary steps to make sure Americans have confidence in their sacred right to vote.”
“I’m only here today because my mom went against the advice of her doctors and had me. I’ll never stop fighting for the sanctity of life.”
“I’m just sitting here, thinking about how the Democrats actually added an “Awomen” (after the Amen) at the end of the opening prayer for the new Congress. Y’all, Amen is Latin for “so be it.” Amen isn’t even a gendered word. You just can’t make this stuff up anymore.”
“My family lost our cattle ranch 9 years ago because Washington politicians failed to read what was in a massive “relief” bill. With what we have seen from this COVID “relief” bill, it’s clear that things haven’t changed much in DC.”
“Honestly, being in the minority at this point is just a mindset. We are operating as though we have the capability to move legislation in the House, and I think you'll see that we're going to be more effective at getting things done, simply because the margin is so small… So that means that there's no opportunity for Nancy Pelosi to steamroll the Republicans in the House.”
