Hello, Fierce fam! If you’re like me, you are very happy to see the backside of this week. This incredibly looong week. Hopefully, you all will be able to take the weekend to relax and recharge. We’ve got a lot of hard work ahead of us, so take some time for yourselves.
I wanted to take a moment to discuss something that’s been on my heart since last Friday’s newsletter. In that email, I took both Nikki Haley and Liz Cheney to task for choosing opportunistic politics over principle. It felt wrong the second I hit the send button. Not that they don’t deserve criticism for their actions — they absolutely do. But there’s enough negative news out there and that’s not really the purpose of the Fierce newsletter. We want to bring you good news about how liberty-loving women are fighting for this country. So that’s what we’re going to do!
I also want to hear more from you, the reader, so I’ll be asking a Question of the Week that will allow you to have your voice heard on issues important to conservatives. And your answers will be included in the next weekly newsletter as a gauge of what we, the grassroots, are feeling.
A few things to highlight this week:
Julia Letlow will be running for the open Congressional seat in Louisiana's 5th Congressional District. Her husband, Luke, won the seat in November, but, sadly, died from COVID-19 a few days before he was to be sworn in. Julia is rock-solid conservative; you can find more about her here and donate to her campaign here.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R.-GA) made good on her promise and filed articles of impeachment against Joe Biden yesterday. According to Rep. Greene’s office, the articles were filed "for his corrupt actions involving his quid pro quo in Ukraine and his abuse of power by allowing his son, Hunter Biden, to siphon off cash from America's greatest enemies Russian and China." You can read more about it here.
Rep. Lauren Boebert (R.-CO) introduced a bill yesterday to block the Paris Agreement after Biden rejoined it in his first few hours in office. She tweeted: “Unilaterally entering the Paris Agreement was wrong in 2016 and it’s wrong now!”
Rep. María Elvira Salazar (R.-FL) introduced the Fighting Oppression until the Reign of Castro Ends (FORCE) Act this week. The legislation aims to prevent President Biden from delisting Cuba as a state sponsor of terrorism until they release political prisoners and improve their human rights violations. You can read more about it here.
Three members of the Fierce Force were named to Minority Whip Steve Scalise’s “Whip Team”: Rep. Diana Harshbarger (R.-TN), Rep. María Elvira Salazar (R.-FL) and Rep. Nicole Mailliotakis (R.-NY). They will be responsible for helping to garner votes for Republican legislative priorities.
And, finally: THE QUESTION OF THE WEEK
There are reports that former President Donald Trump wants to start a new political party, aimed at knocking Republicans off their perch.
Would you support Donald Trump’s new party?
I’m dying to know what you’re thinking! Please feel free to leave comments here at Substack or email them to realfiercenews@gmail.com. I’ll report back on the answers next week.
As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out with suggestions or if you just need someone to listen!
In Liberty,
Teri Christoph

In Their Own Words
Roe v. Wade
Rep. Ashley Hinson (R.-IA):
“Since Roe v. Wade was enacted 48 years ago today, over 61 million babies have been aborted. In Congress, I will be a fierce advocate for the unborn and work to advance pro-life policies. We must stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves.” #ProLife
Rep. Diana Harshbarger (R.-TN):
“I signed on to @RepRalphNorman's resolution acknowledging January 22, 2021, as National Sanctity of Life Day. I stand with my colleagues who also morally object to Roe v. Wade and recognize the heroic work of pregnancy care centers in our communities.”
Rep. Michelle Fischbach (R.-MN):
“Today, we mark the 48th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade tragedy. Abortion has taken more than 60 million innocent lives, and affected countless mothers, fathers, and families. We must continue to speak out against the murder of unborn children. If we don’t speak up, nobody will.”
Rep. Lisa McClain (R.-MI):
“Today is the 48th Anniversary of one of the worst decisions made by the U.S. Supreme Court. #RoevWade has allowed for millions of innocent lives to be killed. I am unapologetically #ProLife & will continue to fight for policies that support children from the moment of conception.”
Keystone XL Pipeline
Rep. Mary Miller (R.-IL):
“Ending the border wall construction, halting the Keystone Pipeline, and rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement are all calls for division within America while prioritizing foreign competitors.”
Rep. Lisa McClain (R.-MI):
“With the cancelling of the #KeystoneXLPipeline, we are going backwards. America must be energy independent.”
Rep. Michelle Fischbach (R.-MN):
“President Trump brought the U.S. closer than ever to energy independence, but President-elect Biden is already rolling it back. Blocking construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline would kill thousands of good-paying jobs and undermine our national security.”
Rep. Diana Harshbarger (R.-TN):
“President Biden’s first actions halt construction of President Trump’s border wall, block the Keystone XL Pipeline and re-enter the Paris Climate Accord. Instead of putting Americans first, he’s implementing a liberal agenda to score points with the international community.”
