A showdown is brewing on Capitol Hill over the January 6th counting by Congress of the electoral votes from the 2020 presidential election. Sen. Josh Hawley has said he’ll support efforts by conservatives in the House to stop the counting of the votes, which would lead to debate in both chambers.
Hawley joins Rep. Mo Brooks in forcing the showdown over widespread voter fraud stemming from November’s election. Says Brooks:
"We now in the House side are up to dozens of congressmen who are willing to object or co-sponsor objections to various states’ submittals, so we have more congressmen than we have states to object to."
And how will the freshman class of GOP women respond? So far, Rep.-elect Lauren Boebert, Rep.-elect Diana Harshbarger, Rep.-elect Yvette Herrell, and Rep.-elect Marjorie Taylor Greene have voiced their support.
We’ll keep our eye on things and update if and when more ladies join the effort.
