The White House wants you to add misinformation to your Thanksgiving menu
Also, turkeys can't fly??
Hey ho, friends! Just a quick hello from me and, of course, warm wishes to you all for a very Happy Thanksgiving! I’m sharing with you a post I wrote about the White House’s attempt to get Americans to share misinformation over their Turkey Feasts. They think we’re that dumb.
I’ll be checking back in with you next week!

Indigestion on the Menu
You knew it was coming — all the “helpful” tips on how to navigate those tricky political conversations at your Thanksgiving dinner table. (Because you’re too dumb to handle that situation, obviously.) Typically, the media leads the charge on how smug, enlightened libs can best deal with their stuck-in-the-Stone-Ages conservative (or even — gasp! — apolitical) family members. The Biden White House has now gotten in on the action, with Chief of Staff/De Facto President Ron Klain taking to Twitter with helpful talking points sure to induce indigestion in households across the country.
Calling it “President Biden’s Top Accomplishments,” Klain seems to be encouraging Americans to get aggressive with “that Uncle” — you know, the really stupid one who flies an American flag outside his house — when he comes “at you” with complaints about the current administration.
Here is The Klain Thanksgiving Manifesto in all its mis-informational glory:
Funny they should start with inflation. Not only is the administration not “tackling inflation & lowering costs,” Bidenflation is the very cause that Americans will be sitting down to a Thanksgiving meal that costs, as even CNN admits, 20 percent more than last year’s feast.
A feast for 10 with 12 menu items including a turkey, stuffing, cranberries, and pumpkin pie mix will cost $64.05 on average — up $10.74 from last year. That breaks down to about $6.50 per person, according to the annual survey.
Outside the Beltway, the added costs this year hurt.
Despite what Ron Klain thinks, Americans are not stupid. We keenly feel the effects of this administration’s bad, family-unfriendly economic policies when we shop for groceries that seem to go up in price every week. We think of Biden’s disastrous energy policies that are killing our wallets every time we go to gas up our cars. Newsflash for Klain: Americans don’t see a drop in still-exorbitant gas prices as a win. Again, even CNN knows they are lying when it comes to pain at the pump:
Facts First: Biden’s claim that the most common gas price when he took office was more than $5 isn’t even close to true. The most common price for a gallon of regular gas on the day he was inaugurated, January 20, 2021, was $2.39, according to data provided to CNN by Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy – much lower than the most common price today, not much higher than the most common price today as Biden said. In other words, Biden made it sound like gas prices have fallen significantly during his presidency when they have actually increased significantly.
It’s laughable that Klain touts working with Republicans as an accomplishment, then closes his manifesto by calling them “extreme.” Debunking this misinformation
Abortion. No, Republicans are not proposing a “national ban on abortion.” In the wake of the Dobbs decision, the GOP rightfully supports abortion-related law being made at the state level.
Medicare and Social Security. As the Heartland Institute wrote on the pages of RedState, “While fear dominates the news about Social Security, there is nothing to suggest that the GOP plans to “eliminate” Social Security, or even change Social Security in the near future.”
Repealing the misnamed Inflation Reduction Act. Yes, please.
Unfortunately for Ron Klain and the Biden White House, the vast majority of Americans will spend Thanksgiving being, you know, grateful for time spent with their family and friends, enjoying good food, and seeing if the Detroit Lions have what it takes to defeat the Buffalo Bills. If they do spare a thought for Joe Biden, it will likely be in the form of a hearty laugh at “that uncle’s” dead-on impression of our doddering president.
