Hello, Fierce fam. I’m violating my own rule of only emailing you on Fridays with the weekly newsletter, but these are strange times. I hope it’s okay with you.
I wanted to talk with you all about perhaps increasing the frequency of Fierce emails. All hell has broken loose — or continued to break loose — since the first edition went out last Friday. Not only have we seen the President of the United States de-platformed, we’re seeing Silicon Valley launch a coordinated attack on free speech by making it impossible for alternative media, like Parler, to function.
What does the future hold here at Substack? Who knows. But I’d like to think they’ll buck the trend by holding true to their commitment to host diverse opinions. We’ll give it a go and see what happens.
Anyway, the reason for this email is to see what you, the readers, want. Would you like twice-weekly emails? Daily? I will try to blog something everyday at https://fierce.substack.com, but want to only send emails at a frequency that works for all of you. I think coming together as a community of conservatives is of supreme importance right now. You’re not alone and I don’t want you thinking you are.
Here’s the other thing: the original idea of Fierce was to follow the freshman class of GOP women as they take on DC. Well … some are doing that and some are already seeking the limelight. And some are bit too quiet. Nonetheless, I will still follow them. But, perhaps, we need to widen the scope and include freedom-fighting gents, too, and women outside of Congress?
For instance, Nikki Haley is on my last nerve with her opportunistic and tone deaf approach to politics. But she’s going to try her darnedest to be the GOP presidential nominee in 2024, so it make sense to follow her, too. Perhaps she’ll rethink a few things and become fierce. We’ll see.
Anyway, please feel free to send me your thoughts by commenting on this post or dropping me an email (realfiercenews@gmail.com). I’d love to hear from you!
In Liberty,
Teri Christoph
Hi Teri,
Thank you for having the courage to step forward at a time fraught with unknowns and seemingly devoid of courageous individuals.
Obviously, there is no reason to be afraid, but fear seems to be the dominant trait of our world/society and fear is no basis on which to build.
So many aspects of our daily lives have been weaponized to our detriment because we have been too lazy to maintain our God-given rights and inherent responsibilities.
All successful life demands hard work and a commitment to freedom and the rights of each and every member of the Human Family. Without such commitment and concern for others we find our thoughts and concerns increasingly focussed inward in a selfish spiral resulting in billions of tiny unconnected and uncaring entities.
As an individual island I am incapable of virtually any and all attributes which define me as Human. I am merely a somewhat complicated version of the trillions of Carbon based life forms floating through this reality; no beginning, no end of note, and no genuine reality, as our individual being can only be defined by our relationships with others of our ilk.
Most Sincerely
Douglas E. Darling

1-2 emails/week is ideal for me. Much more then that and I won’t have time to actually read them.
